There was limited opreation for subway and train in Tokyo because of rolling blackouts area.

The 62nd Sapporo Snow Festival was held in 2011. The event originates to 1950 when the local students created snow statues at Odori Park. This year, there were snow statues of the World Heritage in China “Temple of Heaven” 22m tall and characters from the musical “Lion King.”
The snow statue with height over 20m. The view is astonishing.

The 2011 SPRING SUMMER Tokyo Girl’s Collection (TGC), the world’s largest fashion festival, took place on March 5th.
With its theme, “real clothes of Japan to the world”, this fashion event has been held twice every year since August 2008. In this distinct fashion festival, popular models from fashion magazines appear on the runway and all the clothing worn in the show can be purchased from mobile phones.

Rusutsu Resort is one of the largest resort facilities in Hokkaido. During the winter season, the powder snow stacks up creating a great slope. Compared to NISEKO, there are fewer visitors so it is a recommended place to ski or snowboard.
The location is good too since you can access within an hour and half from Shin-Chitose Airport and Sapporo City by bus.
The skiing ground lies over three mountains, West.Mt, East.Mt, and Mt.Isola.
