Kitasenju walking guide

Lets introduce the cities of Kitasenju that has been prosperous due to the Nikkou high way’s Shukubamachi, and has been the stage for the drama series “Kinpachi Sensei”.

First we start from Minami-senju station, as we walk north we see the Senju Oohashi that cross over the Sumida river.
Senju Oohashi is famous for Matsuo Basho that started his journey to the “Okuno hosomichi”. There is also a terrace on the riverside.

Roppongi walking guide

A city where there are a lot of offices but has also Japan’s number of pleasurable streets. This time I went to walk from Azabu Juban station to Roppongi station.

First once you go out of Azabu Juban station you can see the Azabu Juban shopping street. It has about 300 years of history, and has about 300 stores both old and new; it shows the busy business. This time I had lunch at “Uokatsu”. Second helping of white rice is self service.

Mukojima Walking Guide

Mukojima used to flourish as geisha district during the Edo period. The place is known for its sakura that during spring, many people visit to have a look of them. Today, I will introduce a walking plan from Mukojima Hyakka Garden, walking by several shrine of Shichifukujin close to Sumida River. It is a course through nostalgic back alley.

First I head for Mukojima Hyakka Garden. It is the only garden from Edo period that is still preserved and about 600 types of flower can be enjoyed throughout the year. Sakura will bloom beautifully during spring.
