The café bills opened on April 18th at Tokyu Plaza Omotesando. The restaurant is said to have changed Australia’s breakfast culture and is famous for the world’s best breakfast – the ricotta pancake. Celebrities such as Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz also go out of their way to visit the main store in Sydney!

This is the first café to be established in the centre of Tokyo and everyone is talking about it.

Omotesando bills is only 5 minutes by foot from Harajuku station, Omotesando exit. Even if you arrive at the opening time of 8:30am, you will end up in a long line. The room is light, airy and very comforting. The atmosphere makes you feel at home and the white base of the inside is very open, matching the image of the world’s best breakfast. You completely forget that you are actually in a city.

Here is the organic egg with toast (1200yen). At first glance, the scrambled egg looks like an omelet and is picked up as the world’s best egg dish by the New York Times and other foreign media. Usually scrambled egg is mixed inside a frying pan, but the trait of Omotesando bills’ scrambled egg is mixed only two or three times.

The light and fluffy eggs melt in your mouth and are made from fresh eggs with rich butter. It can seem creamy but it’s also firm at the same time, and it goes perfectly with the crunchy toast as well. There’s no doubt that you’ll have a little piece of happiness with every mouthful!

This is the ricotta pancake with bananas and honey comb butter (1400yen) After tasting the first mouthful, you’ll be convinced as to why this is the world’s best breakfast. It is baked well, yet light and fluffy, spreading inside your mouth in an instant! It is made with plenty of ricotta cheese and it tastes familiar to French toast.

You’ll be even more satisfied once you pour the maple syrup over the top and eat the fresh bananas with the sweet pancake. This is the pancake Leonardo DiCaprio was said to have come every day to the café for – and the reason is definitely clear!

Omotesando bills is currently a popular restaurant with a 2-3 hour wait even on the weekday! You can enjoy a tranquil breakfast of the scrambled egg or ricotta pancake while listening to the birds chirping. It is also an excellent place to take someone on a date!
