On September 3rd 2011, the largest fashion festival that all of the fashionable girls were waiting for “Tokyo Girls Collection 2011 Autumn/Winter” (TGC) was held at the Saitama Super Arena. TGC is a fashion festival that has been going on for 13 years now, with their theme of “Sending out Japan’s real clothing to the world” since 1995.
This time the theme was “Smile for ‘ ‘ (Smile for parenthesis)”, based on the Tohoku Earthquake that happened on March 11th, there is the message “Through TGC we want to make everyone smile” behind it. The ‘ ‘ in the theme is left blank for people around the world to be able to express different thoughts and feelings.

This time the 2 brands “Rirandture” and “SERENE Dept” that are to debut in 2011/A/W were very popular. A lot of recent trend items that make you want to wear them right away were being introduced.

TGC’s key words they suggest will become the trend for this upcoming season are “60’s” “retro colors” “fur items”.
The fur items that seem to become this year’s trend is the “poodle fur” in which the fur quality is short and fuzzy like a poodles.

At TGC other than fashion shows there are projects where girls that are sensitive to trends can have their fun. On the side of the area where the show is held there is a booth called “Smile Park” opened, where you can get food and make up, and also a place

Because this is based on cheering on Tohoku, there were famous foods and products of places from Tohoku available as well. Also, the scenery of the event will be directly shown live at Aeon Ishinomaki store in Miyagi prefecture Ishinomaki city. It would be nice that through this, those in Tohoku will smile with us.

Starting with the MC Kendo Kobayashi, Miki Fujimoto, Junko Yaginuma, and all of the performers, showed us a very powerful exciting performance. Naoto Inti Raymi, T-ARA that came all the way from Korea, and Mia Hirasawa, and other many artists contributed very well in hyping up the audience with their live staging.

For the audience that came to this event, receive a souvenir at the end. And this also is filled with goods that will make a girl smile unintentionally.

Not only doing a fashion show, but it was a show in which efforts to make everyone smile could be felt from TGC. All performers wrote in the ‘ ‘ ‘Smile’, ‘Children’, ‘Everyone’ ‘Every day’, something that is very important for a person. I felt that it was a wonderful theme to try and fit a smile with a person or a thing important to you.
What would you put in the ‘ ‘?
