A city filled with entertainment near the sea, we went to Odaiba to take a stroll.
Today we take a course a little different, first we start with the ship’s museum of science. In the first half we will go around mainly the academics.

It is located right near the exit of the station. Based on the time of the day, there are places where the Yurikamome will not stop, so you can go from Ome station at those times. You will arrive there with a 5 minute walk from Ome station. Today we decided to walk there.

Here we are! The building is a shape of a ship.

It is a humongous screw propeller! We estimated it to be twice as large as a person that as 150 cm. The statue next to it, is the first generation museum owner Sasakawa-san and his words “The whole world is one family, and the human species are all brothers”, looking straight at the words and moves forward and wishes for a peaceful living among the humans.

We felt that it was a very positive, wonderful word. In fact when we look at the sea that connects the large world, we cannot help but to hope for peace.

This is, diving wear. At the first glance it looks like an astronaut’s clothing doesn’t it. Maybe in fact the atmosphere in space and underwater is similar. However if you think about the idea of being able to breath underwater with this on, it is a very excellent invention. We wonder what kind of experiments will be done wearing this.

Within the precincts of the museum it is a scientific facility compounded with a museum. You can actually go inside of the ship and see the cockpit.

Outside there were boats being displayed as well. Looking at big ships we cannot help but want to go on trips. It would be nice to be able to go all over the world in a ship.

Canoe experiences, there are many activities enjoyable by children such as radio controlled ship models. We recommend for adults and their children to make visits together.

Moving on, we walk towards the Japan science future building. This is easy to find because it is the large building across from the crossing in front of the science museum.

The shape of the building is a little different, sort of near futuristic.
Within the building there are experimental rooms, research rooms, displaying corners, and a planetarium called Mega star. This planetarium is known to be a very splendid place so please visit here. You can walk to it from the ship’s science museum, but taking the Yurikamome to the Telecom Center station is the easiest way.

Next we go to the Oedo Onsen Monogatari, also close to the Telecom Center station.

It is a hot spring’s theme park that makes you feel as if you sliped back in time into the town of Edo. Within the facility you walk around in Yukatas, other than baths there are games, fairs, massages, and other fun activities. There are also lodging facilities, where you can relax right after talking a warm bath. On weekends it becomes filled with a lot of people, a very popular hot springs facility.

Next, we go to the Palette town located in Yurikamome’s Ome station.
In the Palette town there are, Venus Fort, Zepp Tokyo, Tokyo Leisure land, Mega Web, a large Ferris wheel, and many other fun places. In Venus Fort there are outlets, restaurants, where you can enjoy a lot of shopping. The interior is made like a medieval European town, it is very pretty.

This is Mega Web. There are displayed Toyota’s new designed cars, and old fashioned models. There is also an attraction corner where you can experience the Toyota techniques, and where you can ride it, a place where especially fathers and young boys will enjoy. Just by looking at the aligned cars can be enjoyable.

Here is the Ferris wheel we saw on our way to the ship science museum earlier. It is this big when we look closer! At night you can enjoy Tokyo’s night view, it may be the best to go at night.

Going further pass the Ferris wheel we arrive at Tokyo Leisure land. Here you can enjoy bowling, karaoke, billiards, and television games and so on.

This is Zepp Tokyo. As a live concert hall it is very big, and all seats are standing so you can feel a sense of togetherness with the artist. Here it seems you can really enjoy the live concerts.

At Odaiba there is 1 more, humongous merchant facility where you can enjoy shopping.
This is, at Yurikamome Odaiba Kaihin Kouen station.
However before that, there is a Shell Museum right outside of the Odaiba Kaihin Kouen station.

It is a museum by shell starting with motor sports such as F1.
Its scope is not so large, but a place where you can freely go to rest.

Within the precincts there are goods shops, cafés and displayed products. There were people taking rests at cafes because they were located inside of offices. There are a lot of things to look at such as Shell’s many different displays and dioramas of virtual near future cities.

So now, we cross onto the other side of the street, and arrive at Decks Tokyo beach.
Here there are many things to enjoy such as Tokyo Joi Police amusement parks, shopping malls, movie theatres, and places to eat.
The nation’s largest indoor amusment park, we recommend Joi Police because it is a place where you can enjoy the attraction without caring about the weather.

We decided to go to the building’s 5th floor’s restaurant city because we heard that there was a noodle festival being held.

On the left is Hakata’s Tonkotsu ramen, on the right is Okinawa soba, and on the bottom is a bit size gyoza.
Because both of them are from its original place, it had a very original taste and was very delicious. There are many other noodles cooking that you can enjoy.
