Sapporo Beer Museum is the only beer museum in Japan. There are exhibitions of beer history and Sapporo Beer’s achievements. In the end, you get to try the beer as well.

The building used to be a factory of sugar manufacturing company in Sapporo built in 1890, and became the former factory of Sapporo Beer in 1905. It is an important cultural property, along with Former Hokkaido Government Office, which leave the trace of Meiji period.

The development of beer factory and the city of Sapporo that flourished along with the factory are reproduced. The story of how people made beer in the past using models to explain was very interesting.

You can try three types of beer and see the difference in taste. The beer tastes amazingly good. In order to provide the customers with great beer, they clean the factory every day and make an effort.

The one on the right is “Kaitakushi beer”.
It is a beer that has reproduced the taste when the company was established.

One in the middle is Sapporo classic.
It is Hokkaido limited edition and uses 100% malt and nothing else for the ingredient.

On the left is Sapporo Draught beer (black label).
It is a long seller product since 1977. The freshness and the aroma hop is the secret to the popularity.
