The Japanese Fashion Week in Tokyo (aka JEW in Tokyo) which was scheduled on the week from March 18th to 25th, 2011 had been canceled due to the huge earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku area on the 11th. However, Etw. Vonneguet was the only one who decided to continue her show. She said, “I wouldn’t call off the show because I believe that this will help something. My Japanese colleagues had helped me continue this show sincerely, even though some of their family had lived near where the earthquake and tsunami had hit. I could not cancel the show. I know this is what I have to do; to keep moving on as usual. For people who are going through something.”

Etw. Vonneguet is challenging fashion that uses digital tools to find a new view between people and the society.

The new theme of AW 2011 is “Symbolic ~What is Symbolic?~”.

There are shadow words on the concrete wall. Also those shadows of 6 coats made it very fashionable.
