The hot-spring is located within 10 minutes walk of Futako-Tamagawa station (About 10 minutes ride of train from Shibuya). This location is full of natures that you might not think you are in Tokyo. “Sanga no Yu” is one of the few 100% natural hot spring in Tokyo, and its gushing water amount is 350 liters per minute from 1,700 meter depth which undoubtedly has top level spring amount in Tokyo. Also it has perfect water temperature.

Water trait of “Sanga no Yu” is isotonic weak alkaline sodium chloride. This trait of water is considered as storage sea water in deep stratum from antiquity transformed and formed fossil seawater type spring. Also, for noteworthy trait, it has same osmotic pressure as human’s bodily fluids therefore you will not get tired contrast to other hot-springs. In addition to the water trait, weak alkaline hot-springs make your skin smoother and sodium chloride hot-springs moisturize your body more than the others accompanying relax effects.

To get into Seta Onsen, first of all, take your shoes off at first floor and place them into shoes locker. Then, check-in at reception, leave your shoes locker key here and receive locker room key and towel ticket. You can rent swim suit for mixed bath or additional towel at the second floor. If everything is okay, proceed to the third floor.

Continue to go up to the third floor and let’s get in to locker room. Navy color is gentlemen room entrance and orange color is ladies room entrance. Place your cloth and bags to locker and now you are ready to take a bath.

Image is pretty much different from the appearance of the western style building. Inside of the facility has Japanese Ryokan like atmosphere in accordance with courtyard surrounded by several hundred years old trees.

At Japanese onsens, rinse your hairs and body before get into the bathtub is a manner. Use washing place to cleanse your body.

For inside bath, there are “lying onsen” and “Jacuzzis”. A noteworthy point of the spring is no adding heat and no adding water. Maintaining pure spring itself.

Take a walk on a little slope about 60 meters from healing spa, now you are in “Hill of the Joy” area, where you will experience great scene. You can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji, beautiful sunset, and night scene if the weather is clear.
