Karuizawa Traveling Note-Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza-There is the Karuizawa Main Street or Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza within the distance of 25 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from the station.
Along the 500 meters road from the rotary heading Kyu-Usui Touge, there are many souvenir shops and restaurants standing. Especially during the summer break and Golden Week, there are many many people.

Karuizawa Traveling Note -Front of Karuizawa station-I would like to write about my summer vacation to Karuizawa, a famous summer resort in Japan.
Karuizawa is fairly close to Tokyo, little more than an hour in bullet train and 2 hours drive by car. I head to Karuizawa by Nagano bullet train Asama from Tokyo station.
I arrived in an hour from Tokyo station. As soon as I got off the train, I felt that I have reached Karuizawa because the air is different. Since Karuizawa is located about 1000 meter above sea level, even though its summer, the weather is chilly. It if hot if it gets sunny but usually it gets cold in the morning and night.
