Where Aomori prefecture’s administrative system’s main government building is located, Aomori. Due to the opening of all Tohoku shinkansens, Aomori is one of the most paid attention cities. Every summer there is a Nebuta festival that is held with Aomori city in the center, and a lot of people from outside of the prefecture come to visit.
This time, we will be introducing the 2 big cultural facilities in Aomori city, and the Aomori prefecture museum, and the Sannaimaruyama ruins.
The Aomori prefecture museum is, searches for the prefecture’s artists that originates their art creation energy from the Sannaimaruyama ruins that were deposited in the Jomon period; and is sending out Aomori prefecture’s artistic climate out into the world.

The white museum building was built from the idea of “Sannaimaruyama ruins” excavation areas.

The “Hirosaki park” is the most famous place for sakura that represents Japan. In 1715, the saplings of the sakura that were brought from Kyoto were the start. Now there are 260 sakura trees planted here.


A bright red bridge and sakura, and a castle tower are as beautiful as Japanese paintings.

Aomori and Akita prefecture both had very little damage from the Tohoku earthquake. However, serious damage to the hotels and Japanese style hotels is being done from abroad and within Japan due to the mass amounts of trip cancellations.

This time a month and a half from the earth quake is when, called Tohoku’s Sandai Sakura, centralizing Kakunodate and Hirosaki, we will be showing you the charms, appeals that the trip to Tohoku has in store for us.
A 30 minute drive from Akita airport, first we went for the Kakunodate where you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful view of all four seasons. A large number of the resident grounds of samurai families still exist, the Kakunodate that is called Michinokuno Kyoto. In the spring are the Shidare Sakura, and the colored leaves in autumn are famous.
This year entering into April, the cold was rather harsh therefore the Sakura in Kakunodate has only blossomed a fifth.


Although it was unfortunate weather, the fact that it was a weekday had nothing to do with the matter there were still a lot of people visiting.

Tokaido 53 tsugi’s (name of a street) Shinagawa area is a prospered stage town. Once you get off at the station, the big group of skyscraper buildings leaves an impression; however if you walk a little further a town where you can experience the atmosphere of the Edo period appears. In the last years of the Tokugawa shogunate, it is also land that the hero Sakamoto Ryoma spent his time in his younger ages.

First when you get to Shinagawa station, lets have fun inside of the station. The Ecute Shinagawa within the Shinagawa station opened in October 2005, and reopened in 2011 April. From side dishes, Japanese semi-western style sweets, ice cream, everything is available so it is difficult making a decision, but that is the fun part.

The world’s biggest word of mouth traveling site “TripAdvisor(R)” announced the top 20 “most popular foreign tourists spots in Japan” based on the ratings posted by foreign tourists on the site (https://www.tripadvisor.jp/HotSpotsJapan). In 1st place is Hiroshima prefecture’s Miyajima (Ikushima temple) that is also registered in the World Heritage Convention, also in 2nd place Hiroshima prefecture’s Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum (also known as the A-bomb dome) were chosen.

The biggest fashion festival in Japan “Kobe Collection”.
On February 26th 2011 “Kobe Collection 2011 SPRING/SUMMER” was held in Kobe World memorial hall to announce the new spring/summer clothing line.
Kobe Collection is a fashion event that has been held twice a year since 2002, it is the herald of the real cloth event that is currently being held in various places like the Tokyo girls collection.

This theme is “Freedom”. To fight any challenges without running away, the freedom one wins is the one’s very own freedom achieved.
This event’s brand line up consisted of 28 national, 11 international, and an estimate of 100 models took the run way.
