On September 9th 2011, the 3rd preliminary games of soccer’s World Cup in Brazil opened in various places in Asia. The Japan national team will be striving for their 5th continuing participation in the competition, at the Saitama stadium there will be the competition against North Korea held.

The man supporters come together.

The Saitama Stadium is the stadium where the Japan vs South Korea semifinal World Cup in 2002 was held.

The seats at the stadium were all full on the day. 55000 supporters will be behind the Japan team from the stadium.

There were many North Korean supporters as well.

The Japan team had difficulty making goals due to fine saves by the goal post and their opponent’s goalie.

Continuing to compete, in the latter half of the loss time, DF Maya Yoshida made their leading goal they had been waiting for with a forceful heading! It was a difficult match but in the end they were able to win by their amazing goal.

In the Asian 3rd preliminary round, 20 teams divide into 5 groups, the league games will be held in the home and away system, and the top 2 teams will continue onto the final round. Japan’s 2nd round, will be held on their opponent’s country on the 6th in Uzbekistan.
