Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 Walking GuideYokohama has been famous as a port town since the Yokohama Port opened in 1859. Recently, the Minato Mirai 21 has become a developing area with many new touring spots being built. I would like to introduce the new Yokohama, Minato Mirai 21.
On the way to Minato Mira from Yokohama Station, there is Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery. There are Nissan cars being displayed in a big opened space.

There are store selling Nissan goods and souvenir, and exhibition that people other than car lovers can enjoy.
As you walk to Rinko Park, there is green grass spreading, It is a great place to have a picnic on sunny days.

In Minato Mirai 21, there are many buildings in unique design that fits the image of future city.
As you walk along the sea, you will see Marinos Town, the home ground of J League soccer team, Yokohama F-Marinos.
There are two natural grass field, two artificial turf ground, clubhouse, watching stands, F-Marinos official store Tricolore One Minato Mirai, and a Italian restaurant where you can see the players practice.
As you walk to Shin-Minato Area, you will find Yokohama Cosmo World, a bug amusement park born from the idea of new future style city planning.
In front of Yokohama Cosmo World, there is Yokohama World Porters, a big shopping place. There are many store from all over the world in all over Japan.
The unique fact about Yokohama is that even though it is a developing city, there is still an old taste in it as well. There is a shopping mall that uses red brick building built in 1900, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse.
There are shops and restaurants so you can stay here for the whole day.
The view from Yokohama Port is great but this place is popular for its night view as well.
Since Minato Mirai is still developing, every year new tourist spots and buildings are being built. This place is changing everyday so visit Minato Mirai periodically to see the change with your own eyes.
