TOKYO KIMONO WEEK started on the following week of TOKYO FASHION WEEK. TOKYO KIMONO WEEK is an event to share the attractiveness of this unique Japanese culture kimono not only within Japan, but also with overseas. The event was held at Oedo, Nihonbashi.

During the event, visitors could try to wear or buy kimono and watch a parade at various places in Nihonbashi. One of the biggest events was a fashion show named “Kimono, Wa, Beauty of Japan”.
This is my report on “Kimono, Wa, Beauty of Japan”, the special event of TOKYO FASHION WEEK.

The show was organized to stress the value, culture, and beauty of Japanese traditional kimono.

Models with traditional kimonos of Tokyo Yuzen, Oshima Tsumugi, Kyo Yuzen and other brands would walk on a runway. Enjoy the following photos of the collection.
